INTRODUCTION: Medullary carcinoma is a rare malignant neuroendocrine tumor of the thyroid gland. (MTC) has no specific clinical symptoms. Due to absence symptoms, disease usually diagnosed at stage metastatic lesions regional lymph nodes, and sometimes, internal organs. The five- ten-year survival after detection distant metastases 25% 10%, respectively. OBJECTIVE: To analyze available foreign domestic literature determine role PET/CT with various radiopharmaceuticals in complex radiological diagnosis MTC. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A search was made for scientific publications recommendations information analytical systems PudMed, elibrary over past ten years, dedicated MTC, including 18 F-DOPA, F-FDG, 68 Ga-DOTA peptides, etc. by keywords «medullary cancer», carcinoma», «PET/CT», « F-L-dihydroxyphenylalanine», F-DOPA», peptides», Ga-DOTA-peptides», «theranostics», «theranostics». RESULTS: analysis demonstrated prospects use recurrent tumors prevalence process biochemical recurrence as well possibility peptide-receptor radionuclide therapy treatment advanced forms disease. choice based on results laboratory diagnostics conventional methods anatomical imaging. peptides performed predict effectiveness therapy.
